FACILITIES
The Crown has set new standards with its facilities here in the Perth budget accommodation market. During the buildings renovation, much thought went into the facilities that we now provide which have only enhanced the modern stylish décor of our rooms and communal areas.

TV Lounge
In a word… Plasma! Our TV room boosts one of the largest TV’s in Perth which can bring you all the latest news and local entertainment. Big comfy couches are spread throughout our TV room to allow you to relax and while away the afternoon watching that all important sporting event, local news broadcast or maybe throw on a DVD from our extensive library of movies?

Theatre/Play station Room
This room is for the movie enthusiast. Large TV, lots of sound and comfortable couches. Each week we hold regular movie nights and during the day you can plug in the play station and enjoy holiday time playing your favourite games.

Chill-out courtyards
Down the side of our building you will find our relaxing courtyards with shaded areas to read a book or chat with new friends. Quite and peaceful you will be surrounded by lush gardens and the hypnotic water feature. The perfect place to soak up a little sun and just chill!

Laundry
Our laundry has coin operated machines and dryers as well as a fold down ironing table and an iron for those nights out when a creased shirt will just not make the grade. Washing powder can be purchased from reception. External drying lines available as well.

Phone Calls
We have a public phone box for your use so you can keep in contact with friends and family far away. You can purchase international discount phone cards from the front reception.

Tour and information desk
The Staff of The Crown are walking guide books!! Our General Manager “Hopper” holds regular information nights to educate you on the wonders of Western Australia, what there is to see and how to get there. All of our staff are highly qualified and well travelled when it comes to tourism destinations in and around Perth and Western Australia. Click on our “downloads” page and check out our information brochure for new visitors to Perth. We can assist you to arrange your local travel requirements, from bookings tours to hiring cars. We can even help you plan an itinerary if you have your own vehicle and just want to explore our amazing state.

Job/Notice board
The notice board located in the internet lounge is regularly updated of most Perth based backpacker employment agencies. These companies will assist you in finding work in and around Perth from nursing to mining to farm stays and the ever popular pub and bar work. Need a car? Have a look here and then there is the “General Stuff” section that has all those small bits of information to make your stay in Perth that little more enjoyable.

Security
We have recognised that security is one of the most vital points when selecting a hostel. The Crown offers key pad entry to the front of the building and key entry into each room. Once in your room we have specially designed lockers to allow you to store all your personal belongings, passport, camers and laptops with the peace and mind of your own lock. Our building is looked after daily by our team of managers and night supervisors look after the premises throughout our after hour periods.

Cleaner
Being so well travelled ourselves we have also recognised how important it is to keep our hostel tidy and clean. Our dedicated cleaners are on site 7 days per week to keep a high standard of cleanliness throughout the buildings kitchen, toilet and shower facilities.

Free Car parking
At the rear of the building we have undercover parking for 6 vehicles. There is also on street parking after 5.30pm which is free to our hostel guests.

24 hour check-in
With fulltime management and night supervisors on shift 7 days a week we can also offer our guests 24 hour check in. Just let us know what time you will be arriving and arrangements will be made to have you shown to your room

Kitchen
Stainless steel from top to bottom! This is a Kitchen that even a Chef would happily work in. Gas hobs and ovens that work! Loads of pots, pans and cutlery, as well as 2 big fridges and a freezer. We even have a storage box for each bed in each room to keep all your stuff separate from the other guests

Pool Table
A lazy afternoon ahead perhaps? Few mates and a game of pool on the burgundy table which is located in the internet lounge…. It’s all good!

Internet Lounge
The Crown maintains 8 computers for your use – all connected with high-speed broadband as well as facilities for faxing, photocopying, printing and burning CD’s. There is even a flash card reader so you can copy all your travelling photos on to CD. Each PC has iTunes installed as well as all standard Microsoft software installed. This is the cheapest Internet in town at only $2 per hour!!

Vending machines
feeling a bit peckish? Got the munchies whilst watching a movie? Our hallway vending machines will cater for just about all your sweet tooth cravings….
